Mr. Big 2009According to Random Chatter Music (and confirmed by Gilbert's publicist), the original members of Mr. Big—Paul Gilbert (guitar), Billy Sheehan (bass), Eric Martin (vocals), Pat Torpey (drums)—have announced a reunion tour of Japan. The group told DJ Koh Sakai of the Japanese radio program "Heavy Metal Syndicate" that "[they] are back together."

2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the group's self-titled debut album. But it was the quartet's second album, Lean Into It, which featured the smash hit "To Be With You" as well as "Green Tinted Sixties Mind" and "Just Take My Heart," that took the band to the top of the charts.

Paul Gilbert left the band in 1997 to pursue a solo career, and Mr. Big disbanded for good in 2002. Gilbert made a guest appearance on Sheehan's 2008 release, Holy Cow, thus sparking rumors of a Mr. Big reunion. No word yet on plans for a U.S. tour, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything!
