Attention jazz fans with time on your hands and charity in your hearts: The 52nd Annual Monterey Jazz Festival is looking for volunteers to work the week of September 14-21, particularly early in the week, during setup. Morning shift is approximately 9:00 am through 1:00 pm; afternoon is approximately 1:00 pm through 6:00 pm; evening is 6:00pm through midnight. Volunteers are welcome to stay on the grounds after their shift ends to take in some great jazz. To apply, click here

This year's festival, which runs from September 18-20, will feature jazz icons such as Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea, Joe Lovano, John Scofield, and others. The Monterey Jazz Festival is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to perpetuating jazz. In addition to the festival, which is the longest running jazz fest in the world, they provide year-round jazz education programs. For more information, visit www.montereyjazzfestival.org
