Prince Pens Purple and Gold Ditty for Minnesota Vikings

OK, we love Prince. We really, really do. He's one of the most amazing musicians and artists (and guitar player) of the past 30 years. But the purple-obsessed one's new musical homage to his hometown Minnesota Vikings, "Purple and Gold," (see clip below) is neither regal nor rockin'.
Prince penned the tribute after watching the Vikings beat the Dallas Cowboys at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last weekend.
"Praise every voice and let it be known, in the name of the purple and gold," the chorus begins. "We come in the name of the purple and gold, all of the odds are in our favor … long live the purple and gold!"
The bigger question, which will be answered this Sunday around 10:00 pm EST, is which Prince song will be playing in the Vikes' locker room: "Let's Go Crazy" or "Purple Rain." Better bring that umbrella, Brett, as Guitarinstructor predicts the Saints will go marching into Miami.

As a vikes fan, this song sucks.
