New Guitar Tab for 24 Jazz Classics

Long have jazz guitarists culled the work of greats like Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, and Miles Davis, among others, to build repertoire. Standards and classics like "Four," "Oleo," "All of Me," "Donna Lee," and "Well You Needn't" have proven fertile ground not only gaining greater understanding of the jazz language but also for building the chops necessary to play at this high level.

We've just posted guitar tab for 24 of the greatest standards and classics of all time, in what is essentially lead-sheet format, but with the melody, or "head," presented in tab. If you have a looper or are able to record onto your computer or tablet, try putting the chords down first, and then play the head over those, so you can better hear how the melody fits over the changes. This approach will also allow you to try soloing over the changes.
