How to Play Texas Flood

Posted by Michael Mueller on November 2, 2015 at 4:29 PM

When Texas blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan released his 1983 debut, Texas Flood, he singlehandedly revived electric blues guitar, giving it a jolt of cool factor not felt in the blues since Eric Clapton's work with the Blues Breakers. Although the initial thrust was fueled by the upbeat shuffle "Pride and Joy" and blues-rocker "Love Struck Baby," it's the slow-burning title track that has most stood the test of time and come to epitomize the best of SRV's tone, technique, and phrasing.

In our brand-new G-Plus Song lesson, Doug Boduch teaches you every riff and lick from Vaughan's epic slow blues, plus you get the guitar tab and audio play-along track.
