Seattle rockers Soundgarden were one of the primary architects of the grunge sound that took hold in the early 1990s. Though it was their third album, 1991's Badmotorfinger was the band's commercial breakthrough, fueled by the MTV hit "Outshined." Led by a lumbering drop-D guitar riff that mimicked singer extraordinaire Chris Cornell's vocal line, the tune is a killer guitar track.
