Best known as the guitarist and singer for alternative metal band Helmet, Page Hamilton draws from a wide range of musical influences to craft his art, including jazz, classical, reggae, and blues forms. Born in Portland, Oregon, in 1960, Hamilton moved to New York in the early '80s to study jazz guitar. Later in the decade, he formed Helmet, and the band recorded four albums before splitting up in 1998. In 2004, the band reformed, and released Size Matters, followed by Monochrome, in 2006. In 2009, Hamilton was honored with his own signature ESP guitar, modeled from his late-'80s Horizon Custom.
