Guitar phenomenon Matt Schofield has set the blues world ablaze with his fresh and passionate take on the genre. The British guitarist started his professional career at age 18, working as a sideman with harpist Lee Sankey and then with British blues diva Dana Gillespie. Seven years later, he formed his own band - an organ trio - whose powerful mix of blues and New Orleans-style funk garnered high praise from both sides of the Atlantic over several years and album releases. In May 2009, Schofield released his breakthrough album, Heads, Tails & Aces, which cemented the guitarist as one of the top new blues guitarists of his generation. For more, visit MattSchofield.com.
