Biography

A fingerstyle rocker with the taste and touch of Jeff Beck with shred chops to match, Michael Lee Firkins first broke onto the instrumental guitar scene in 1990 with his brilliant self-titled debut on Shrapnel Records. The album seamlessly blended rock with country, blues, and jazz flavors, resulting in Firkins being named that year's Best New Talent in Guitar for the Practicing Musician. He is currently preparing his new album, Since 1967, for a 2008 release.
