Biography

One of the great voices and musical forces to emerge from the northeastern folk and blues scenes in the 1960s, Geoff Muldaur is an institution of American roots music, albeit largely under the mainstream radar. He was a founding member of the Jim Kweskin Jug Band in the 1960s, and has since recorded with Paul Butterfield's Better Days, his ex-wife Maria Muldaur, and such notable artists as Bob Dylan, Richard Thompson, Bonnie Raitt, and guitar wizard Amos Garrett, among others. He has also composed for film and television, including the definitive recording of "Brazil", which provided the seed for Terry Gilliam's film of the same title.
