Pink Floyd Settles Dispute with EMI

Last year, Pink Floyd sued EMI over whether or not the label had the right to break up the band's albums and sell the songs as singles without the band's permission. Since they had signed their deal with EMI long before the days of digital downloads, it was a murky issue. A judge sided with the band last March, and a judge dismissed EMI's appeal last month.
But now, having signed a new contract with EMI, all legal disputes between the band and the label have been settled. And strangely enough, the band's singles will continue to be available on iTunes. Go figure ...
