Biography
Best known for his blues guitar prowess, noted guitarist and instructor John Heussenstamm is equally well versed in styles ranging from classical and jazz to funk and gospel. He toured with the Deniece Williams band in 1977, before leaving for Australia for the better part of the '80s, performing in many of the country's biggest clubs and venues. In 1990, he returned to southern California, where he has played many of the region's blues festivals and taught countless students via private lessons and clinics. Heussenstamm is also the author of Guitar Workout (Hal Leonard), an intense and comprehensive regimen aimed to help you increase your speed, agility, and creativity on the fretboard.
